"SPRING CLASSIC"

JUNE 12th & 13th 2010

2010 Park County Spring Classic

On behalf of the Park County Livestock Committee, we welcome you to the 2010 Park County Spring Classic.  The 2010 Park County Spring Classic is an event that was put together for the youth of Park County 4-H by the Park County Livestock Committee.  The purpose of this event is to give the kids the opportunity to build and practice their skills in grooming, showing and knowledge of their 4-H market animal projects through clinics and seminars provided on the weekend of June 12th & 13th.  Another purpose is to let the kids and their families just have fun !
The other main purpose of this event was to put together an event that the 4-H youth would not have to provide fundraising or other contributions towards one single event.  All fundraising and contributions have been made by the Park County Livestock Committee, local ranchers and businesses, residents and other organizations.
We thank all of the people and organizations for their support and sponsorship to the community and today’s 4-H youth.  We would also like to thank the 4-H youth and their families for allowing us to put together such an event.
 With Thanks
   Park County Livestock Committee

2009 Park County Spring Classic
Buckle Sponsorship
The 2009 Park County Spring Classic is a 4-H event on the weekend of June 6th & 7th.
This weekend event is to benefit the youth of the Park County 4-H Program in the area of showmanship and grooming their animal projects, education in feed nutrition, animal health and quality meat assurance for each species in the livestock program.  The species in the livestock program are beef, swine and sheep.  These areas will be broken down into clinics and seminars taught by former 4-H youth, Colorado State University livestock judges, and other professionals in their given field.  Clinics and seminars will be throughout the day of  June 6th at the Park County Fairgrounds.  On June 7th a showmanship of all of the livestock species will be held at the Park County Fairgrounds.  The Champion and Reserve Champion for each species will be awarded a belt buckle that has been sponsored by local residents, ranchers or businesses in the community.  Each buckle cost is $135 dollars and will be due by May 15th to the Park County Livestock Committee at PO Box 1215, Bailey CO  80421.  Make checks payable to the Park County Livestock Committee.
We appreciate the support of the community in today’s youth and the Park County 4-H Program.
