Rules
- Champion and, Reserve Champion will be awarded to the best overall exhibits
- Each exhibitor must furnish their own container sized suitable to the exhibit. Containers are to be plain tin cans or bottles.
- There should, be foliage from the plant, but foliage will not be counted as a stem.
- All cut flowers to be exhibited with 3 stems unless otherwise indicated.
- Classes may be established when 3 or more exhibits of the same variety are entered
- Final class breakdown will be at judges' discretion.

Q. OPEN FOOD PRESERVATION DIVISION
Note: Special awards will be given by Ball Corporation, Kerr, and Heinz Vinegar in 4‑H and open class divisions.
Rules
- All preserved foods must be processed. No hot pack, cold pack or jellies sealed with paraffin will be accepted.
- All canned products must be exhibited in a standard canning jar and lid (if pressure canned). Mayonnaise jars are acceptable for any product that is water bathed.
- Pickles, jellies, jams, butter, and preserves will be tasted.
- No decorative covers are permitted over lids.
- All canned products must have been canned since the 2001 fair.
- All products must be clearly labeled to include the following information:
- Name of product
- Date processed
- Method of process
- Time and altitude/pressure canner data
Absence of this information means disqualification.
- Any canned products showing leakage or spoilage will not be judged.
